Playin House

Yeah, my lower back has been hurting all week. It's been puzzling me since it's not my woman times. I was totally thinking PELVIC INFECTION of some sort, despite the absence of any other symptoms, so I drank some cranberry juice. Next I blamed it on gas- trapped gas, but that was a long shot, and the pain didn't subside even after I farted on Binky while he was sleeping- a lot. Cancer is always an option, but I don't have the equipment to diagnose that. Then I ran across this comic when I followed a link from Natalie's post, and although I think my pain is a little lower than the kidneys, it's a contender. But maybe, since I haven't pissed blood even once, it's just residual strain from having to ride my bike 20 MILES A DAY to work and back while my car was in the shop. I don't think the new ergonomically-designed-for-women bike seat I put on it helped at all. It made more space for my fat thighs to pump up and down a little faster, but it certainly didn't prevent ass-callus. But just in case it IS my kidneys, how do you dialysis? Am I going to have to shave my head or anything?

This comic came from nataliedee.com, who is hilarious and also has a really good advice column. She has a husband who also makes really funny shit at marriedtothesea.com and wherearethedogshumping.com

Forgot My Address Again...

and had to follow the link from Vroooom. She really gets ya where ya wanna go! What am I doing tonight? Staying up too late. Drinking a diet coke at 10:56 pm. That's all.

Anyhoo. Look how straight my hair was after I got it cut that last time!

Okay! Okay! Okay!

Yeah, it's been so long I had to go to Natalie's blog and click on the link to mine because I couldn't remember my own damn address. I've been busy. School has been a lot of work, and I've been a really bad student so far this semester... procrastinating on assignments (which is ridiculous since they're not that hard, and I like school) and I was only admitted to grad school on a conditional basis, but if I get good grades this semester my horrible scholastic past will go poof! and I'll finally be a normal, bona fide student, not an imposter who doesn't deserve to be there. And I really just haven't been in the mood to blog, but tonight I got a little ache-y for it. I should be studying for my Geophysics mid-term tomorrow, so I will keep this short. What can I say? Mardi Gras was fun but not too crazy. I got drunk and went to a party last night and fell asleep on their sofa. Went to the 45 Tchop Anniversary party tonight which was kind of like the way you would wish every night out would be... all the super fun people you like in the same room having a good time and successfully escaping the annoying fuckers who just want to blah blah blah about something I don't care anything about. I forgot to buy bananas tonight, which will make me sad in the morning when I eat my cornflakes. And my father died on Mardi Gras. I hope it never happens to anyone else, but it most likely will, and it is most likely going to suck balls more than anything ever. It's just the strangest saddest thing.
And, hey Natalie- I really wanted to wait and see where your mysterious anagram comments were going to lead, but I've preempted the serial killer in you! Thanks for missing me!

I was going to post a picture of a  beach in Phuket, Thailand but I think my dad would enjoy this nightclub pic, too.

Eeeeeeeeeeeeee! Macworld!

Macworld Expo starts today- make a wink, Steve Jobs! Really, I'm not completely obsessed and wouldn't have been aware of it, but Macworld sent me an email with a link to their live commentary  (extemely geeky) of the keynote address and later today the full presentation will be available on Apple.com
Picture from guess where?

Forget About It

I was sitting at work making some travel arrangements for my boss today when Keri called. Or I called her, I don't remember. I was talking to her and clicking around on the computer at the same time and obviously not concentrating on either task very well. Eventually I said, Sorry, I have to get back to work, because we weren't having much of a conversation anyway. Then I stopped and said, "Wait, I have something to tell you" and immediately forgot what it was. Ever since then thoughts have been flashing off and on in my head and I scan each one quickly to see if that could have been it but no luck (no way! "The Seven year Itch" is just started on tv. But that's not it either). My brain's been popping and grinding like the gears in my car. I've just been stuck on remembering what I was going to say, although I'm sure it was pretty trivial anyway but I can't stop trying to remember. Except when I was in my Geophysics class tonight. I'm certain it wasn't about geophysics.

Picture from here.
